Thrush visable coat: Thrush as a diagnosis would be applied to a milk like coating on the inner membranes of the mouth, not just the tongue & usually occurs in patches. Absent those patches, your kid probably just likes the soothing feeling of rubbing those areas.

what causes a bump on the gums? ive had a thrush break out and noticed a bump on my top gum-no teeth or dentures. the bump is regularly shaped and doesnt hurt nor is it sensitive to contact with my tongue, no bleeding or draining. gum boil? abscess?

: Thrush is a fungal disease that leaves white patches not bumps on gums or cheeks. Since you have no teeth or dentures, it could be an irritation on gums from eating something hard or pointed. It could be a small root tip or piece of tooth that was left in area. See a dentist for x-ray and exam.

i have a cold sore on top of my lip. if i brush  my teeth and used it to scrape my tongue  is there a possibility of spreading the virus to my mouth right before i had the sore i might've had thrush?

Definitely: Thrush or candidiasis is caused by candida abbicans, an organism we all have in our entire digestive system that aids in digestion. Anything that stresses us (like haveing 12 teeth removed - or antibiotics given with the procedure) or upsets the balance of good & bad organisms can lead to thrush. See your treating dentist and they can give you a rinse or maybe pills to clear this up.

Only w/ immune prob: Thrush is caused by a fungus and is uncommon in healthy people unless they use inhalers or took antibiotics (often white seen in the mouth is misdiagnosed as trush)

But regardless, spread of the fungus to the blood is extremely rare unless you have an underlying immune condition and it causes severe illness.

If it spread to the throat and you are having pain with swallowing please be seen.

Thrush?: Thrush is a fungal infection and not related to eating or not eating.  One is not born with it.  You might have a coated tongue, lichen planus, or somethng else.  For now, start to use a tongue scraper once a day and see if that can solve the problem.  You also need to see a dentist to have it evaluated for a proper diagnosis and treatment if necessary.

i hv a tiny patch grey/white cluster on my upper gum, by canine that was slightly irritated. it doesn't scrape off with toothbrush. did nystacid for 3 days. then andolex c 4 days. nothing. i have a line on cheek because i grind teeth. thrush?leukopla?

: Many possibilities for a grey/white lesion that does not respond to antibiotics. Have your dentist or oral surgeon take a look.

Nystatin: Nystatin kills yeast.   It is not an antibiotic, so it does not kill bacteria.
