my mom had liver op to remove aggressive cancer. 3 mths later she must go for same op same place as it is back and the one place they suppose to close is leaking thus causing her swelling and pain. is this not negligence ?

Yes it can: Swelling in the legs can occur due to many different liver ailments such as liver failure, blood clots in the legs or blood clots in the veins of the abdomen as well as veins in the liver itself as these veins are often compressed or invaded by the liver cancer resulting in swelling in the abdomen and in the legs..

Yes: CT scanning will show multiple liver cysts. ... Pathophysiology: these are caused by infestation with the parasite Echinococcus granulosus ... (for up to 10-20 years) or can present with pain and large right upper quadrant mass. If a cystic lesion is noted and biopsy proves echinococcal in orgin treatment should be initiated by a hepatologist or infectious disease specialist.

Ascites: Often with advanced liver disease, the normal drainage of the liver backs up and you develop what is known as "portal hypertension" which is accompanied by retention of fluid in the abdomen and tissues. Consult your treatment team for options. Sometimes a surgical shunt - a portal caval shunt - can be inserted to aid in the drainage. Periodic fluid aspiration from the abdomen is also employed.

Liver/biliary proble: Jaundice and abdominal swellings are signs of liver problems- could be due to liver failure, cirrhosis with associated fluids accumulation on the abdominal cavity ( ascites), could be from cirrhosis +/- mass/es in the liver, could be obstruction on the biliary ducts etc. There are many serious possibilities. Definitely, you would need to see you md- asap and have further evaluation and treatment.

You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, maintain healthy weight, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.

is that mean there is nothing serious or cancer?

Lymph node: You are young and it is unlikely this is serious. Take your antibiotics. Lymph nodes swell and these are called  reactive lymph nodes. Sometimes these will stay a little bigger. I have a couple on my neck. If the node would have painless swelling and spongy feel then get checked.
