will smoking weed with an outer ear infection make it worse, i havent been able to sleep in 2 days and nothing is helping the pain. if i were to smoke would it make it worse or would it help with the pain and not cause any problems?

: Weed should not exacerbate the otitis externa but I doubt its effectiveness in acute pain. You may need oral antibiotic and topical drops besides the pain pill(s). Please see your doctor for the correct diagnosis and treatment. Good luck.

Maybe: While we don't have as much research on marijuana, we do know that tobacco smoke interferes with the function of the little hairs that clear mucus from the ears, nose, windpipe and lungs.  This is why those people are always coughing up junk.
Also, watch out for the lawman since, unless you have a prescription and are in one of certain states, you can get bigger troubles than an ear infection...

Yes: Smoking both weed and tobacco are irritants to the cells that line the nasal passages and airway and diminish the cell's ability to clear secretions and bacteria.  The middle ear connects with the nasopharynx via the Eustacean tube, and congestion in the nose prolongs healing.  There is documentation of increased ear infections in infants exposed to second hand smoke.

Yes it can but depen (penicillamine): Yes it can but it depends if you are flying long distence or short distance 
you might have to take some medicine like dramamine (dimenhydrinate) etc, so you dont feel nauseous or vomiting
and you better be accompanied by someone who can help you if you still feel dizzy
but if you can avoid it till you are better.

i had an ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin.  it got better in the first 5 days but in the 6th day it started getting worse again why?

Possible med fail: Amoxicillin does not work 100% of the time. If the pain has returned, you should go back to your doctor and let them reevaluate. You might need to be on a different anabiotic. Or you could have a swimmer's ear infection going on at the same time and would need ear drops. Call your doctor for an appointment.

External vs middle: The most important part of this question is whether you have an outer ear (ear canal) or middle ear (behind the eardrum) infection.  Drops only work for infection in the ear canal.  If you have an external ear infection that is not getting better with ear drops, you either need different drops, or you need to have debris removed from the canal.  Either way, you need to see a doctor for help.

Worsening ?: Your post did not list the age of the kid,the symptoms involved or why you consider this worse. It may take at least 24 hrs before any treatment will alter the presenting symptoms of such an infection. If you are spooked by the issue get a 2nd opinion. This is one of the most common infections in kids &amp; easily assessed &amp; treated by primary care docs.
