Heal your sinuses: Sinus problems or infections mimic toothaches and can be confusing!  get an antibiotic such as Amoxicillin 500mg and add a strong decongestant such as actifed or sudafed, followed by sinus rinses with ocean spray.

no tooth pain, but excruciating right cheek pain for the past 4 days i've had a cold this past week. could it be my sinuses?

Could be: If you press up , under your cheekbone and it hurts, then yes it could be your sinuses hurting.  You can also put a finger in your mouth on the cheek side up by your upper teeth and press up.  That is your sinus there and if it hurts when you press up, you most likely have sinus issues going on.  Pain/pressure in your sinuses can also cause your upper molars to hurt as well.  Hope you feel better!

i had tooth pain, dentist took xrays and sinuses were very dark on xray. he said because of how dark they are, it's probably congestion? but wouldn't that appear as light? he said it could be air or congestion? i thought normal sinuses would be dark.
