Sinus\ear\tooth pain: If the roots of the upper back teeth are close to the floor of the maxillary sinus, a sinusitis or sinus infection can produce pain that feels like it's coming from a tooth. The reverse does not usually occur. Less likely, tooth pain may refer to ear & again the reverse does not usually occur. Ear pain may be from infection or related to TMJ dysfunction. See dentist and\or ENT for proper diagnosis.

Hypoplasia: Incomplete development or underdevelopment of an organ or tissue. That's what hypoplasia is. It is doubtful that is would cause severe pain, especially on the opposite side of your face. Did you get your teeth thoroughly examined? If not, now is the time to do so.

Definitely: All your symptoms may be created by a sinus infection.  But some of the symptoms may be related to other sources that can create sinus-like symptoms.  Get to a  Dr. asap

Probably not: Your sinuses do not communicate with gum tissue around your teeth. You may have an infection that is draining, therefore no pain (no internal pressure). Please see a local dentist for evaluation.

Sudafed: Assuming you are not on blood pressure medicine, sudafed will often provide sinus relief without affecting any teeth directly. If this resolves the issue, it may be sinus in origin. Most pain meds and antibiotics will work on symptoms of dental and sinus etiology providing relief without determining the origin of the problem. Best to see a dentist with that information  to determine appropriate tx.

Yes and no: Toothaches of sinus origin can be tapping tender and cold sensitive.  Often times on multiple teeth in the affected area (upper back teeth).  Don't forget, however, that an equal possibility is a tooth-centered problem that has nothing to do with the sinus.  A skilled general dentist or endodontist can be helpful in determining your case.

They both hurt: ..But if the source of the trouble is dental in origin, you will need to see a dentist for evaluation and treatment. If the origin is sinus, it will feel like a toothache but not really have a dental solution. Differentiating these can be tricky and often the key is do you have multiple teeth feeling uncomfortable or a recent cold? See your dentist and share all your observations.

Symptoms: Symptoms would indicate a sinus infection, although a tooth infection is not out of the question. See either your General Dentist or your General Physician to start the diagnostic process. You may need the services of an ENT.

More likely other: Those symptoms do not sound like trigeminal neuralgia. I would be more concerned about a sinus infection or deep dental infection. You should be seen soon to get the right diagnosis and proper therapy.

Face hurts: When was his last dental check-up? Assuming no bumps or bruises that you don't know about, I would suggest a visit to the dentist (Pedodonist or General Dentist who sees children of that age) and if the exam in negative, a visit to the Pediatrician. It doesn't sound like this is the type of situation that warrants an ER visit.
