i suspect that i might have shingles. this came up after taking antibiotics for testicular spermatocele. i have a small blister rash on my leg and constant pain in my upper and inner leg. this morning i had a strange and strong pain over the rash.

i developed some hurting skin in right outer armpit. a day felt the sore skin in shoulder blade/upper back. two days later noticed small rash on lower inner right breast. all of breast is tender, nipple very sensitive. is this shingles...a mild case?

: It sounds like you may be right that it is Shingles. You could be evaluated and may be placed on medication to reduce the duration of the pain and also consider getting the shingles vaccine.

Treatment is not recommended, because the side effects of the antibiotics could outweigh the risk of treating colonization or contamination. Also, excessive antibiotic use could lead to antibiotic resistance in the future, should you get an infection.

i gave shingles again! i had them in january  2014 and now march 2014. is this normal? this second time is bad! the first round wasn't as bad.

If you were in a lot of pain you might want to talk to your doctor about taking no neurontin, (gabapentin) adrug that might help with the pain. When you get to be older you should also consider getting the shingles vaccine which is 50 percent effective.

Chicken pox: Shingles are caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox in young children. The virus gets into your nerves and remains dormant until you have some physiologic stress. Then shingles break out. You can use a bandage to cover the blisters,  but this will not keep them  from spreading. Shingles are generally self limiting. Often pain medication is prescribed to help with the intense discomfort.
