4 month wait to see a psych. severe anxiety /ocd. recently during anxiety having racing thoughts /brain telling me to hurt people. they feel so real, scared of hurting anyone. more likely ocd or could it be psychosis, am i dangerous?

: It definitely is not good, and you should be treated. If you ever get racing thoughts/brain telling you to hurt people you should go to the closet Emergency Room immediately, they will help you and treat you. Do not continue the wait to see someone.

help me i have bipolar psychotic depression and severe anxiety! i feel the need to be hospitalized and sedated sometimes. is sedation good for me?

At times: The thing with bipolar disease with psychotic features is sometimes you do need to be hospitalized to get the medications/treatment stabilized. This is for your protection.

if i have depression, partial remission of psychosis, generalized anxiety disorder, could i take viagra (sildenafil)? i also take meds, it's in my profile.

Viagra (sildenafil): Your other medications may not directly interact with Viagra, (sildenafil) but there always is the potential for interaction with medications metabolized by the liver.  I would focus now on good control of your psychiatric symptoms and stabilization of your conditions before adding another medication to your regimen.

is it possible general anxiety disorder could turn into schizophrenia? i have been on zoloft since i was 15, and im wondering if zoloft or the anxiety itself could lead me to becoming psychotic. i am constantly worried about going crazy?

: No. These are separate conditions. Neither the medication nor your anxiety will drive you to psychosis.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Increases in diastolic pressure (and systolic pressure) occur during periods of severe anxiety, as anxiety is tied to stress hormones that increase pressure within the cariocascular system. Even onset of mild/moderate situational anxiety can increase pressure, such as white coat syndrome (ie, BP goes up due to anxiety of being in a medical clinic). If a concern be sure to talk with your provider.

Yes, isolation and: anxiety can trigger temporary delusions and hallucinations.  A mental health professional can diagnose you and help you determine if this is the case or if some other condition is present.  Peace and good health.

Depends: Depends on what you are taking/eating as well as how quickly you are losing weight.
Overly rapid weight loss can lead to liberation of toxins stored in fat, and may make one feel sick. Some diet supplements are not exactly safe and can do bad things to you.

I'd have eval 4 CBT: A good psych eval will lead to either some skill learning and/or medication. The combo is often best. You'll learn how to deal w/ things and perhaps have short term help from a calming drug. Best!

i was diagnosed with chronic gastritis, i have severe anxiety & that is what they say caused this. i am overweight. will this condition ever go away?

Psychotherapy: In addition to getting evaluated by your GP to rule out organic problems, consider going to a psychotherapist to help get to the bottom of what is causing the "severe anxiety" as you say. Living with this level of fear can be incredibly debilitating, and imagine what your life would be like if the anxiety could at least be reduced if not eradicated altogether?

can fibro really cause severe anxiety all alone, just from it?

Not generally: Many people with fibromyalgia also experience anxiety and depression, and having the chronic pain from fibro may intensify existing depression/anxiety.  If having 'severe' anxiety, please see a psychiatrist.  That may provide you the best assessment and help.
