Depends: Check with your doctor to find out where the post-nasal drips come from (sinusitis? Sometimes the sensation of post-nasal drips may well be from reflux onto the throat.   One can only treat it when the cause is known.

Virus?: It may just be from a viral infection. Be sure to keep him hydrated well with an electrolyte -containing drink.  Post-nasal drips rarely if ever lead to vomiting.  If problem gets worse, contact your doctor.

my son 12 had a really bad post nasal drip. causing him to vomit. at 4pm today i gave him a celestamine 10mg. it has not worked at all. when can i give him something else ?

Can recheck with Dr.: Depends on his doctor's diagnosis and instructions. Celestamine contains a corticosteroid and an antihistamine, which means its purpose is for decreasing the inflammation and allergic response in an "allergic" nose. In the US, we usually use nasal spray steroids instead of oral steroids. If the nasal symptoms are from a cold or flu, the treatment can vary. Can call his pediatrician.

i am 14 wks pregs.however im struggling with post nasal drip. its really bad coz ive been vomitting phlegm & struggling to keep food down?

Fever?: Please monitor your temperature and treat any fever, but I would advise follow up with your OB specialist.
You may have a viral illness. Keep well hydrated by drinking clear fluids and reduce solids for now.
Sinus rinses with saline will help to reduce post nasal drip.

i have sinusitis for 4weeks and sometimes i have post nasal drip and with it i feel nausea and sometimes vomit. is that normal on post nasal drip?

Yes: The post nasal drip comes from the sinuses and nasal cavity..  Those secretions can irritate your throat and  trigger the gag reflex, thus the nausea and vomiting.
Best way to treat this is with a steroid nasal spray, oral antihistamines (Claritin etc) and if with infection (fever),a course of antibiotics.  Get well soon.

Doctor can examine: New nose, throat, and cough symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold (more likely), or from some other cause such as asthma, allergies, irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly. Viral infections should resolve without antibiotics. Some coughs are asthma symptoms and need inhalers.

Yes.: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is commonly used to treat symptoms of allergies. It tends to work faster than other allergy medicine but it also causes more side effects, especially sedation. Some people get the opposite effect and a jittery feeling. 

If allergies are an ongoing problem consider a daily medication like allergies, Claritin or zyrtec. They take longer to work but tend to have fewer side effects.

post nasal drip is causing me to gag and vomit will robitussin cf help also got a cough from the drip?

Yes & no: 2 ingredients in Robitussin CF (cough suppressant dextromethorfan, expectorant guaifenesin) may help but the 3rd (decongestant pseudoephedrine) may keep the nose & sinuses running since it opens sinus passages. May want to use Robitussin-DM or Mucinex dm which don't have the decongestant. Antihistamine like zyrtec (cetirizine) will help stop runny nose. Possible drowsiness with these meds.
