Marine fish oil: does lower triglycerides.  You need to take high quality MFO.  This means that 50% of the total mgs are in EPA+DHA.  Also, large enough dose is needed.  One capsule won't do it.  Many folks take 2 caps in the a.m. and 2 in the p.m.  Some folks take more.  Peace and good health.  Read the label.  Nordic Naturals is a good brand.

Good idea: Fish is a great food to include in your diet and because of all the nutrients you get in fish, superior to omega-3 supplements. Two to three 4 ounce servings of low mercury fish per week is recommended: shrimp, pollock, salmon, canned light tuna, tilapia and cod.

Omega 3: You can but any excess omega 3 or vitamins for that matter get eliminated by kidney or liver depending on the metabolism.  Its often better to get your nutrients from food vs pill.
