Edema possibly: I know that Gabapentin can lead to changes in fluid distribution in addition to peripheral edema and this may be one possible way that Gabapentin leads to weight gain.

Low sodium: The incidence of low-sodium with tegretol is significantly lower then the incidence of low-sodium with trileptal.(na+ ≪134 meq/l) was 29.9% among oxc-treated patients and 13.5% among cbz-treated patients (p &lt; 0.0001). No: Gabapentin (Neurontin) is an anticonvulsant and analgesic drug. It was originally developed to treat epilepsy, and is currently also used to relieve neuropathic pain.  It has been used "off-label" for many other conditions.  Alcohol and gabapentin are dangerous when mixed together for a variety of reasons.

Depending upon the site of damage, neuropathic pain syndromes are classified as central, peripheral or mixed. If this is the case combination of systemic and topical approaches
is recommended. Cognitive behavioral therapy is important in your case.
Neurontin 800 mg/day is a very low dose.

: Dosing is based on the amount of drug needed in the blood to produce desired effect. A drug half life is the time for 1/2 to be lost from the body. Taking all 3 at once can achieve a higher than needed amount but it goes down to a low level too soon, decreasing effectiveness. Taking this drug about every 6=9 hours allows a pattern overlap that maintains a consistent drug amount and effectiveness.
