yesterday i had an ibs flare up, this morning i had a normal bowel movement but had pelvic pain and pressure. few hours later i suddenly had pelvic pain and pressure again and got very gassy. burning farts and a floating stool. what could this be?

: IBS??  Floaating stool means it has lots of fat in it.  Recall what your ate last few days to see if you can track down the cause of the flare.  Your body is talking to you.  Listen!  And take good notes &amp; Dr can figure it out.

: Stressful events like illness/flares trigger body made hormones like adrenalin and cortisol which can elevate blood pressure.

Not typical: Fainting on the background of increased heart rate and low blood pressure is not typical of IBS. Workup would be needed in oder to find out an alternate cause. Heart itself may be at the origin of your symptoms, specifically an arrhythmia. Please discuss with your treating providers as they have a complete view of your medical situation.

i have ibs-c and increased rectal pressure what can i do to lower the rectal pressure and maybe help the constipation?

Take care.: You will relieve the pressure when you start having regular bowel movements. The most important thing to do is to watch your lifestyle.  Eat healthy whole high fiber foods. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.  Get good bacteria into your system by eating fermented foods or by taking a good quality probiotic.  You can also take vitamin C and magnesium citrate to help alleviate the constipation.

Low blood sugar?: Usually causes shaking, sweating, increased heart rate and changes in vision.  If you are experiencing nausea and chest pressure, seek attention (urgently) to rule out cardiac causes.

See gastroenterologi: Ibs or short for irritable bowel syndrome is characterized by alternating constipation and diarrhea  often with diarrhea as the main symptom or constipation as the other. Individuals with this condition experience severe abdominal discomfort with bloating, 
vague pain more than burning or sharp pain, that is ever present. Burning pain speaks more of gastritis or even a gastroesophageal reflux.

Yes: Sounds like typical symptoms of IBS but also one or other problems. Consult with your family physician who may prescribe some tests and/or medication and /or refer you to a gastroenterologist. Don't delay. If it is only IBS, medication and better choices of diet will help.

Heart Burn: Hi, you probably have Functional dyspepsia or non-ulcer dyspepsia, which is common in IBS, the treatment is change in diet includes avoiding fatty food, Alcohol, Caffeine, frequent but small portions, avoiding food which makes the patient worse, PPIs or H2 blockers but Antacid like Tums (calcium carbonate) won't work , one can consider Tricyclic Antidepressant if above measures not helpful.

wht is hypertrophic anal papilae..does it cause narrow stool..and burning while pooping..?if not wht is causing my persistent narrow stool for 2 months.? despite normal endoscopy i have this problem.no ibs too.?

Proctologist: I have found that disorders of the anorectal area are best treated and followed by a proctologist. Your endoscopy was reassuring that there's no significant colorectal pathology. Anal fissure with anal spasm or very tight tone probably plays a role in flat stool formation. In my opinion a proctologist is better at treating such problems.
