Call your dentist: If there is no active bleeding there should be no problem . But ask your dentist to be sure there is no active bleeding.

i had a tooth extraction and bone augmentation done on wednesday. i am still experiencing moderate (after taking pain meds) to severe (when the pain meds wear off) pain and there is still swelling on the side of my face where the tooth was extracted.

Not Uncommon: Pain and swelling after an extraction is not uncommon. But since you had a bone graft in preparation for a future implant, it would be best you contact the surgeon who did the procedure for a follow up appointment.

Call your dentist: It will be a very good idea if you call the dr who performed the surgery on you .. Taking too much pain killers after extractions is not a very nice thing to do

Yes but later on!: Smoking causes cancer... and there is no doubt about it. So quit smoking Now while it is fresh in your mind and you are still free from it.
Development of Cancer from smoking usually takes some years...so right now you are safe but a few years down the road, you will be in serious trouble. So make serious plans to quit smoking....seek professional help from American cancer society(Cancer.net)

Unlikely: It may be a coincidence. Try to reduce the temperate in you bedroom. Reduce the amount of covers and try using a fan.

See your PCP: There are a number of things that can cause a headache to develop after extraction. Often after a tooth extraction you are prescribed opiates (e.g. Vicodin) Headaches are one of the side effects associated with opiates. Another reason could be caffeine withdrawal, stress or cervicogenic headache. Regardless, see your primary care physician for evaluation.

Sure but NO: Sure you can but I wouldn't because it could lead to a deeper level of sedation during IV and possible other complications with the anesthesiologist not wanting to do the case if they know that you did.  It is your risk.
