Not a problem: The night guard will help keep your teeth in position if it is in the same arch as the extraction. It can't hurt.

You can: Once you extract a tooth you can wear a night card as long as it does not interfere with the extraction site. After extraction, we are trying to stop bleeding, forming blood clot.

Yes!: Wearing a night guard may prevent your muscles from being hyperactive, as when you grind your teeth without it! less muscle activity, by using night guard, may create less pain associated from tooth extraction.

If not to sore: If you are not to sore and the guard does not hit the extraction site you can wear it. If any discomfort wait a few day and try again.
