Drop phenylephrine: Find a product that does not contain the phenylephrine. For most people , that med is stimulating and will make you stay awake, not help you sleep. Make sure you also use good sleep hygiene - bedtime routine, minimize distractions around you, warm milk, and consider melatonon for sleep aid rather than more and more benadryl (diphenhydramine).

i drank two 355ml alcohol drinks(5%) between 10pm and 12:22am. i've also eaten supper. is it safe for me to take benadryl (diphenhydramine) to go to sleep?

Should be: Should be fine as long as you drink plenty of fluid and the dosage is not more than indicated for your weight and age.

my daughter (age 13) took two benadryl (diphenhydramine) at 9:00 pm.  it is now 11:30 pm.  her nose is stuffy and she can't sleep.  is there anything she can take now?

Yes, but no antihist: amine--I presume she took two 25 mg tabs, so she shouldn't take another antihistamine. I recommend an over-the-counter decongestant nasal spray like Afrin.  Follow the directions.  Alternative--otc sudafed.  With no stuffy nose, she should sleep better.

it takes me hrs to go to sleep,i take benadryl for allergies so now im taking two and im taking 10mg of melatonin.cant take sleeping pills cause of benadryl,i do drink coffee but just 1 a day,not at night,what am i doing wrong that i cant sleep?

Should be fine: The Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be used for long term as long as you do not side effects especially morning sleepiness, clearly you have been taking for sometime without side effects.
This does not mean it will work for ever for your insomnia, the most important in our sleep in the wake up time then the bedtime, those should be consistent , also avoiding naps and caffeine/smoking 6 hours before the bedtime is im.

Read drug label: Please take medications as directed. Instructions are usually printed on the ingredient label. You can always take another one but not until specified amount of time has elapsed.

There are: no reasons why not....just make sure you are not drowsy in the morning...WAKE UP before you DRIVE!
