Hard to answer: This kind of question makes doctors uncomfortable.  The official recommendation is to avoid all alcohol.  Yet many people have 1 drink and do ok.  So it's not usually dangerous — but it could be.  Alcohol plus wellbutrin (bupropion) can  impair driving, prevent the med from working as well, could  cause a seizure, etc.  Weigh the risks and benefits: how important is safety and med effect to you?

Talk to your doctor : Combining your medication with alcohol can have an additive sedating effect. For instance, having one glass of wine may be the equivalent of having two or three. Please do not drink and drive. Talk to your doctor about their specific recommendations. I tend to advise my patients against the use of alcohol. Best wishes!

Real vs actual: Actually you should never use alcohol with antidepressants but an occasional drink, especially if this is an established habit, should be ok.
