Posture, shots.: Low back problems/pain results in favoring one side or the other, and change in posture can lead to change in contour of back.  Steroid shots can result in loss of fatty tissue, ending in sunken place.  Best to check with your back doctor.

Sciatica: Many people have bulging discs on MRI. However, not everyone experiences pain into the legs. It is also unusual to have constant pain. Recommend a MD evaluation, a recent MRI and consider formal treatment with therapy. In the meantime, avoid activities that increase your pain, low impact exercise, weight control and stay hydrated. Most people will respond to these steps and do not require surgery.

: Bulging discs are unlikely to be the main pain generator and facet joints and/ or sacroiliac issues may be present.  Physical Therapy is advised and McKenzie back exercises can help

Very common: Bulging disc does not necessarily mean herniation or compression/impingement of nerve and thus often no pain. It is rather common, more as we get older. Excessive force on the spine colum, often because of excessive wt, trauma etc..Causes the discs to bulge out. Aging weakens the tissues and thus increases risk of bulging and possible herniation.
Stay lean/healthy reduces risk.
