Usually bleeding : Bursting of hemorrhoids is equal to tearing open blood vessels. It may be able to stop on its own or surgery might be needed. If it stops, nothing else is needed. High fiber diet is the key to avoid more complications. Rarely, u can have infection and this may need antibiotics or surgery or both. If there is persistent pain, bleeding, fever/chills etc, u need to call ur doctor.

Moistened wipes : Moist tissue, or better yet baby wipes with aloe work very well.  You can also obtain a sitz  bath, which is a shallow bath that you sit upon.  A medical supply store can also provide a squirt bottle to spray the area clean.

Thrombosed hemorrhoi: Sounds like u had a thrombosed hemorrhoid which burst open and releasesdthe clot. I would recommend soaking your bottom in warm water every day (×2)  till it resolves. They may come back and i agree with everything you r doing. If you see a big clot still attached to it and its not going away, i would recommend seeing a surgeon to remove it. No need to put any ointment.

If the colonoscopy was within the week, call the gastroenterologist who did the procedure and arrange for follow up just to be sure there were no complications involved. Urgent care if no improvement if bleeding does not slow within 15 minutes. 911 if profuse bleeding.
