Be checked: If the pain has been severe for 2 months, i would certainly encourage you to be seen.  There are multiple causes includingusculoskeletal- such as another broken rib or fractured vertebrae; to more internal causes such as a kidney or gallstone, an aneurysm, or other intra thoracic or intra abdominal problem.  Appropriate exam and testing can usually determine the cause.  Be seen.

ok so i was having a back pain near scapula and lower rib on the left side...so my doctor recommended me to get an mri of the spine and the impression of the spine is traumatic wedging of d4 to d7 vertebral bodies...does that mean it's a fracture?

In order to diagnose kidney pathology it would help to get imaging study of the kidneys &amp; a urinalysis with microscopic examination of the urinary sediment showing heavy amounts of protein or red blood or white blood cells and a normal examination of the urinary bladder. Back pain&amp; a rash on one side if your back could be shingles. See your MD for advic

Yes, potentially: A compression fracture initially visible on X-ray will always be visible on X-ray.  That is not to say it isn't healed, but rather that even when it is healed that you can still see the compression deformity.  Almost one third of women over 65 will have a visible compression fracture on X-ray.  Most don't cause pain once they heal, but they can potentially cause chronic pain if severely compressed
