Probably not: If the imaging was truely normal, you are unlikely to have any pathology present given your current signs.

Trust your MRI.: It is usually better than an ultrasound study.

Perhaps, but: It makes more sense to find out what is the cause of  the pain and dyskinesia.  The most common cause for such pain is an unresolved infection draining from an unhealthy tooth. Dyskinesia can be a local factor related to the TM joint or a systemic factor, such as a stage 2 Lyme Disease manifestation like Parkinsons Disease or MS.

Swollen gland: Patients cannot determine on their own whether or not they may have a dental infection which is asymptomatic. This requires not only a clinical exam by a professional but x-rays. There are also other causes, both dental and medical that can cause swollen glands (or other lumps that are not glands). See your own dentist first for an evaluation.

2cm swollen left submandibular gland for 6 months following throat infection.health is fine and blood tests are fine, should i worry? is it lymphoma?

Unlikely: You may wait and watch. Check the glands once every two weeks or so. If the gland more than doubles in size, becomes painful, additional glands become large, you develop fever, lose weight, or if the gland ulcerates, it would be time to see your doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

i am about to get vaccinated for covid the day after tomorrow.it's been 3 days i've noticed tenderness around my submandibular gland. no swelling of lymph nodes, just discomfort. if it's because of tooth infection, is it okay to still get vaccinated?

: Ok to get vaccinated as long as you have a dentist appointment as like any other untreated infection, your tooth infection will progress if unaddressed.

A head/neck US: would generally be directed at a specific anatomic site rather than the entire head and neck, so if the request was to evaluate the submandibular region, then yes.  If it was directed toward another area, then probably not.

can you usually see your submandibular gland if you are a thin person? i have a small circular lump on the left side of my neck that i noticed three weeks ago. it is on the neck close to the jaw.

See your dentist.: It's usually minor swelling; but this can be a big deal.  If it's improving (even slowly) that's great: let it heal.  Not to scare you, but I saw a patient today who had developed cancer in that gland.  Signs for concern are swelling, pain, bleeding or odd sensation especially on only one side.  If you haven't had an exam recently set it up.

A plug or stone: Most problems with obstruction of the submandibular gland are from a mucous plug or a stone (just like in the kidney). First you have to determine what the problem is and where the blockage is to determine what treatment is necessary. If it is a stone and can be accessed easily it can be removed.  If it is too far back in the drainage duct you may have to have the gland removed.
