can you treat reoccurring bv from a pin hole low lying rectovaginal fistula with boric acid suppositories still? or will this travel thru the low lying fistula into the rectum and cause issues? please advise. thank you

Dont do this: I would advise against doing this for the reason you mentioned. Can you take oral metronidazole? Or clindesse etc? Also have you seen a doctor to have the rectovaginal fistula repaired? Good luck with everything.

Should not: Bile acids are normally secreted into the small intestines and are a normal part of the digestive process.

i do not get heartburn nor do i have gerd.  i have had ulcers related to h pylori and need a med to reduce the acid in my stool burning my rectum.

Not an acid problem: Several possibilities, such as an anal fissure, prolapsing hemorrhoids, a fungal infection, and pruritus ani (inflammation of the skin around the anus). An examination as well as a detailed history are  in order.

how to i know if it's acid reflux or low stomach acid when i sometimes get cold sore feeling from throat to rectum after passing stool or standing ?

Not sure it's either: cannot say in your particular case, but generally, reflux is too much acid and taking an ANT-acid changes symptoms.
Won't have any effect on rectal symptms associated with passing stool. This is a characteristic symptom of ibs.

Lubrication: If this is done first with the area as clean as possible, even an enema is helpful, lubrication is recommended and a gentle loving process then it is probably ok. If you have lots of feces and the action causes tears in your skin then you are setting yourself up for infection. These muscles can be exercised and kept in good tone by doing kegel exercises.

Not always: Colitis can cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody stools and sometimes rectal pain.  what other symptoms do you have?  Typically it persists for period of time i.e. not intermittent.

Could be several: different things including fissures, spasm or a syndrome called proctalgia fugax. I need more information and you need to see a colon and rectal surgeon to make a diagnosis and offer treatment options.

Colon related?: "Left side pain" can be caused by lots of things &amp; may indeed originate outside the GI tract. Further evaluation is in order before anyone can adequately address your concern. Your doctor will want to examine you as well as know the quality, timing, duration, location, &amp; associations (eating, position, activity, stooling, urinating) of your pain to better direct the next appropriate testing.

Rectal : Rectal prolapse in children usually occurs between the ages of 9 months and 3 years and usually resolves by the time the child is 6 years old.  Typically it can be treated at home with stoll softeners and a high fiber diet.  If the prolapse occurs at home, push it back in as soon as possible with a disposible glave and lubricating jelly.  Applying an ice pack can help decrease the swelling and make pushing it in a little easier.

Prolapses that are caused by underlying disorders such as cystic fibrosis or hirschprung's or those that cannot be fixed at home may require additional treatment such as a sclerosent injection or surgery.  If your child has a prolapsed rectum that is causing pain and cannot be reduced, he may need to go to the emergency room.

i may need you to rephrase your question.

But, the assumption i make is that your stool is frequent and/ or soft in the morning.  It is very common to have a bowel movement at the same time every day.  And, to have this happen when one first awakes is also very common.

But, if your stool is not formed you may have a parasite infection or a food allergy and this needs to be evaluated.
