i need to address a bunion on my left foot and would like to consult for minimally invasive bunion surgery. who may i contact that is contracted network doctor or podiatrist. can a podiatrist perform surgery?

Difficult evaluation: Bunions are a common foot deformities however treatment is much more involved. I would seek multiple opinions from different doctors for no two bunions or patients are the same. Hallux limitus best treatment with an orthotic that allows first rays plantarflexion My foot would seek a good podiatrist

i want to be a podiatrist and i know they perform surgeries, but i've always had shaky hands. what can i do& should i still pursue this as my career?

Shaky hands: might be a problem for a podiatrist. Have you tried to get the tremor fixed? (You might consult with a neurologist) 
Hyperthyroidism, can cause a fine tremor and that is usually fixable. Other types of tremor respond to medication or other therapies.

some podiatrists claim next day walking and little pain after bunion surgery, but it seems most people experience lots of pain and given 6 wk recovery times. does this depend on how bad the bunion is?

Bone pain: Pain is a subjective experience and the walking is more dependent on the extent of the surgery and the patient's individual tolerance to pain.

Corns: Well the usually way to permanently rid of a corn is to remove the bony prominence. In some instances a proper offloading orthotic will reduce the corn and pain that surgery can be delayed or no longer needed.

soft corn. looks just like a blister, but its not. why cant a podiatrist just cut it out, stitch it up. ive been told it requires bone surgery.

Simple excision: A plantar corn can be excised or cauterized without any problems generally

Discomfort from shot: Ingrown toenail surgery can give you a lot of relief from the pain and infection. There is some dicomfort associated with the shot to numb the toe.

Orthopedic Surgeons are MDs or DO go through the traditional medical and surgical training, podiatrists have a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine, DPM. The decisions to operate or not is based on experience and training of the individual. It is important to understand the problem and the available options including risk and benefits of each.
