Bikram is more aerobic in its activity than hatha, contributing to the burn. However, running at 6mph burns twice the calories of Bikram in the same time period.

No restrictions: 7 months after repair of hernia you should be able to do every thing what you used to do .  Excessive activity might have irritated , will disappear  soon. See your surgeon for post OP follow  and to make sure no recurrence .  Don't worry you will be fine .
