Depends: Recovery in surgery varies from individual to individual. In general nerves repair themselves, if they can 0.5 mm per day. Practically, one year after surgery, you will be at maximum recovery post-surgery.

See below: Digits 4 and 5 involve ulnar nerve, most of shoulder girdle involves upper brachial plexus (c-5, 6), triceps radial nerve or c-7, but you may be experiencing lower plexus issues, caused by thoracic outlet syndrome.  Worth exploring further, as diagnosis could lead to successful treatment.

Varies: There are multiple potential causes.  As you say, it could be a pinched nerve, otherwise known as a radiculopathy.  I would not hesitate to be seen.  A good exam and appropriate studies can likely determine the cause.

It depends on nerve: The most common arm compressions are carpal tunnel ( median N at wrist) cubital tunnel (ulnar N at elbow) and less commonly guyon canal (ulnar N at wrist). Each requires a decompression surgery. Carpal tunnel involves opening the flexor retinaculm, and can often be done by scope. Cubital tunnel requires open surgery and often replacing the N in its canal. Steroids and PT may prevent surgery.

Pulled muscle?: There are a lot of things, many of them minor, that can lead to such a complaint. If it's really bothering you, it needs to be evaluated by your doc to rule out anything bad. Osteopathic manipulation can be very helpful for minor pain complaints such as this that aren't caused by more ominous problems.

In neck, yes: Lower in back, it will not normally cause pain in your arms. The nerves running into the arms go down to your upper thoracic, or t1 range. Any nerves that are pinched below t1 near the spine will usually cause pain or irritation in ribs or back. Some peripheral nerves, such as the suprascapular nerve, could be pinched coming off scapula with referred pain into your arms. Hope that helps!
