Yes: Think of it as being similar to the "cold water" effect...You are dehydrated and likely feeling under the weather at least - not the conditions for sexual arousal, hence the appearance of your penis. Once you get through your illness, it will look like its usual state.

: It really depends on the severity whether or not you need hospital care. If the symptoms are not too severe and you are able to drink plenty of fluids and keep from getting dehydrated, then it can be treated at home with oral antibiotics. If you are unsure, see a doctor for evaluation/treatment. Good luck!

C. Difficile : Mild to moderate C. Difficile infection can be treated on an outpatient basis. Hospitalization would be appropriate for severe infection.

Yes: as long as everyone practices very good hand washing. Hand sanutier gel does NOT kill C. Diff.

: The same as they are without entering a hospital. The label "hospital acquired" just implies that a place you think should be safer may not be. Most MRSA and c.diff infections are acquired outside a hospital setting. Any germ in existence can get you in or outside a hospital.

i was in the hospital for a c diff infection for 2 days curious to know what would cause calcium blood levels to fluctuate the googles searches scare me , my last 3 nights they went from 10.8 , 10.9 then back down to 10.3 then i was discharged?

: This much change may occurred due to change in your state of hydration.The higher reading were when you had diarrhea. The last reading probably is your baseline value and it is normal.

my aunt is in the hospital with c diff. she said to not come see her bc id have to wear a gown/mask...since she is contagious. how long is she contagious for? i thought once someone takes antibiotics for any infection they aren't contagious. thanx?

: C. difficile is a bad bug. Antibiotics do NOT make a patient non-contagious with just the 1st pill. As long as bacteria are present, the patient is contagious. It may take a week or longer for your aunt to no longer be contagious. If you follow the hospital's isolation rules, both you and your aunt should be OK.

Check: Regardless of whether you, your boss, or whomever has had c diff, there's always a chance to have the infection. Best to be checked out if concerned. There is testing that can be done.

: There are many types and reasons for diarrhea. In order for your concern to be addressed, you need to see a doctor.  Generally, one is predisposed to have C diff when they have antibiotics, but not everyone with antibiotics has c diff, and not all diarrhea after antibiotic use is c diff. C diff is very contagious. One must wash their hands with hot water and soap, purell is not enough.
