There are many types and reasons for diarrhea. In order for your concern to be addressed, you need to see a doctor. Generally, one is predisposed to have C diff when they have antibiotics, but not everyone with antibiotics has c diff, and not all diarrhea after antibiotic use is c diff. C diff is very contagious. One must wash their hands with hot water and soap, purell is not enough.

This could very well be a c diff infection. I recommend asking your MD to order a culture ASAP but since it may take 3 days for results,I'd feel better if you were started on flagyl while waiting for results. Also drink lots of fluids and after multiple BM's take imodium to slow down the watery BM's. Don't eat roughage. Take precautions to avoid transmission of infection to other in the house.
