Yes: as long as everyone practices very good hand washing. Hand sanutier gel does NOT kill C. Diff.

Yes: Since this is occasionally found in the stools of normal kids, I see no reason to treat the FIL like he has EBOLA. Just practice good personal hygiene/hand washing as always and don't consider it as anything special.
