Neuropathy: There are a number of potential causes, I would encourage you to be seen.  An exam and possibly a nerve conduction test will likely determine the cause.  Among the more common causes is a "pinched nerve" in the spine or a neuropathy.  Don't hesitate to be seen.

i got a burning sensation under both feet in the region off the ball of my feet as well as my toes. i also get very sharp stabbing pains mostly in my toes.

Diabetic: Burning of feet, diabetic? Other possibilites include other neuropathic problems, meds or toxins.

Accepted Answer

Possible neuroma : Could be a morton's neuroma causing the pain.  This doesn't show up on X-ray but can be diagnosed clinically or with ultrasound.

Nerve pain: it sounds like a nerve problem. It still may be a pinched nerve in the lower back. Could be inflamed.  You are a little young to get neuropathy, but that could be one of the possible diagnosis. May need to see a neurologist.

2 wks ago i noticed a dark red spot on the bottom of my l foot towards the top in the area under the toes between big toe&first toe. burning sensation all over both feet. red patches on bottom of toes. spot turns white in shower?

: It is hard to tell what it is without a medical examination of your feet.
Two thoughts come to mind.
Athlete's foot caused by a skin fungus is a common condition especially if you live in hot/ humid climate of the sunbelt of USA.
The change in color when you take a shower suggest a vascular cause( temperature related impaired blood circulation).
I would suggest that you see your doctor(PCP/Dermato

Related?: If all of these symptoms are inter-related you may have a neurological problem.  Suggest you see a neurologist and if they feel that there is a need for imaging or other studies that may help to define what is going on.

Need testing: Burning in your toes could signify a problem with your nerve endings called neuropathy. Consider getting your blood sugar tested, as neuropathy related to diabetes is common.. Could be mechanical and something called a neuroma -- nerve bundle at the web spaced between those 2 toes is irritated. Wider toebox shoes and anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, naproxen, etc) could help.

Many possibilities : While fungus  (athlete’s feet) is a common problem with these symptoms, it is not the only one. Try an anti fungal agent such as Micatin cream for a week , wear cotton socks changed daily, anti fungal powder to keep feet dry,  and if your problem continues, see a podiatrist or your family doctor.

Neuropathy: It sounds like neuropathythere is a nerve that inervates the dorsal foot and branches to the medial aspect of the big toe. Try vitamin B, and or a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as Naprosyn ofr Motrin.Also examine your shoe gear to determin if your shoes are too tight and are putting pressure on the nerve.

70yrs old female healthy except for h/t on atenalol and losarton  recently  started  severe burning sensation on soles of both feet what is it?

Neuropathy: Sounds like a form of neuropathy. Are a number of possible causes including lower back conditions, diabetes, b-12 anemia and excessive alcohol use. See physician for evaluation.
