are the lumps in my legs fatty tumors or what? i have several lumps/bumps under the skin around my upper thigh area.  one is near my panty line, it is about the size of the tip of my thumb and hard but does not hurt.  it's been there probably 8 or 9 years

Fatty : Fatty tumors (or lipomas) are usually not hard. They are usually soft and squishy. If you  have a hard mass along your lower panty line that could be a chronically inflammed inguinal lymph node.  Can't determine what they are through this venu. Recommend that a family doctor or dermatologist examine you and determine what the lesions are.

what do i do? cmc suspensionplasty 6 mths ago. new pain at base of thumb with lump. mri neg for cyst. pain mostly in hand but thumb only bends a little. dr thinks bump is bone but come on overnight. ideas?

: Get a second opinion from an expert hand surgeon (orthopedics), as the restricted movement can probably be resolved with additional surgery.

pea sized bump that feels like its on eye socket bone near nose bridge. doesnt cause pain, only know its there from feeling around one day. cannot see it under the skin. has been the same size for over 2 years now. should i be concerned?

No worries : A mass that size that’s been stable for two years is very unlikely to be anything worrisome. It most is a skin cyst that requires no treatment. If it’s lower down on the bridge of your nose just blow the eye, it could be a cyst of the tear duct but if you’re not having any trouble with excessive tearing and that’s very unlikely.

i have many multiple small bumps i can feel under the skin on the bone of my left leg, some firm, some slightly firm. what kind of dr should i see?

Start with a general: doctor.  If exam shows that these are in the skin or subcutaneous tissue, dermatologist or plastic surgeon is the proper specialist.  If exam shows that these are in the bone, orthopedic surgeon.  And if these are rhematoid nodules, a rheumatologist.

Bump on thumb: One POSSIBILITY is that you have a cyst.  Please see you doctor.  He/she will diagnose and perhaps drain or remove it.  Peace and good health.

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. It is a little hard to say what you have without being able to see it visually myself. A very common finding for painless "bumps" around the eye are called "stys". They are harmless and will go away on their own. Watchful waiting: It may be a lymph node. Check it about once a week and if it gets larger, becomes painful or doe not move, it would be prudent to see your doctor.

Vein: Hand has a lot of superficial veins.  Sometimes they are traumatized by routine things we do.  This small vein can clot off and occasionally calcify.  They often occur in locations that sustain a lot of use or minor trauma.  Try padding the area with a bandaide.  If it continues to hurt, they sometimes need to be removed.
