The idea that vitamin c makes iron absorption more efficient is probably mostly not true, and so is the idea that there are health benefits from taking vitamin c. Do keep the iron levels on the radar in case you need phlebotomy & don't stop eating things you like just because they have iron.

: HIV cannot be transmitted through above mentioned mechanism unless fresh contaminated blood on it, the virus does not live on inanimate surfaces or in the air. There is still a risk for transmission for other germs and the wound should be watched closely until healed. Check cdc.gov for reliable information regarding HIV transmission.

The instructions should state whether there are any safety risks associated with any of the products.  If not, call the pharmacist where you bought the kit.
