A few days: Hip bruise is a vague term that is hard to interpret in terms of severity of damage and the type of structures involved. If you are talking about a strain, an uncomplicated one should take a few days to a week or may be two to heal. If it's a large hematoma (blood in the muscle or under skin) and there is more severe damage, there may be more time needed to heal.

See a podiatrist: Not being able to walk on a broken bone is a fallacy. If your forefoot is swollen, bruised and painful with point tenderness over a metatarsal, it's likely broken. Like any other broken bone, it should be x-rayed to determine if it is aligned properly and then immobilized in proper alignment. It will be ~75% healed in 6-8 weeks provided you don't do anything to delay healing.

Mild bone bruises: Can go away quickly, but there are occasionally some severe bruises which can take several months to resolve.  Have it checked out to make sure the diagnosis is correct.

Takes 7-10 days: Assuming the laceration is not deep and
is clean it should close in 7-10 days
but if you are too active or if you develop
an infection, it can take much longer
unfortunately injuries take a certain 
amount of time to heal.

Needs imaging: Possible injury to your nerve roots at the C6 level. If your symptoms persist you may need to see an orthopedic surgeon and get MRIs to see if there is nerve entrapment

Injury: For traumatic bleeding,rest the hand,applying cold intermittently for 48 hours and then switching to heat will help absorb blood products. NSAIDS like ibuprofen reduce inflammation. However if pain and/or swelling persist,consult a hand surgeon for evaluation and treatment.

2 yrs ago top foot was hurt er gave a recovery boot to wear 6 weeks. said bruised inside probably nothing broken. over time the index toe and middle tow now is spaced apart and still severe pain at times not when walking on it . worried surgery ?

Not really.: The bruising will go away with time; there is no credible evidence that anything currently available will speed that process. I must add, however, that using a v-beam laser to treat a spider angioma is the equivalent of using a howitzer to swat a fly; a momentary touch with an electrocautery needle would have accomplished the same thing with little or no bruising.
