Depends: You really need to have a discussion with your HIV specialist. He will have to test among other things your CD4 count and viral load. This will give an idea on how much risk you are facing on a elective cosmetic procedure. I suggest that you get the surgery at a hospital level and that your HIV specialist has privileges at the same hospital as your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

Extensive: An anchor shaped incision is made on each breast with circles around the nipples. Then, large portions of he breast are removed.

It can be painful. Ask yourself why you are having it before you do it.

Breast surgery ?'s: Breast reduction surgery is not precise in removal of exactly equal amounts of breast tissue on both sides, so with post surgery production of estrogen from the ovaries, asymmetric effects may cause different sizes to occur. Use of oral bcp's may be a way to reduce the estrogen causing this growth, but see your surgeon for more specific advice.

after breast reduction operation, when is it okay to sleep on my side?

Good to vary sides: Sleeping partially upright will help with the swelling reduction.  It is ok to sleep some time on both sides following br after the first week.  Sleeping on one side often results in more swelling in the "down" side compared to the "up" side.  It is better that the breasts have good drainage (gravity) of swelling fluids in the post-op period for the first month or more.

i had a breast reduction three weeks ago and a week ago my own surgical bra gave me a flesh wound. it ripped off some skin under my left breast and i don't know how to heal it.. i've used neosporin but nothing has helped?

Need to be : seen by your surgeon, to evaluate, for infection and best treatment plan.

: The surgical wounds should be organized well after one week. I do not see any problem with any sexual activity at this point if there is no direct impact to the wounds.
