Yes, no penetration,: It takes about 4 full weeks to achieve healing of the vagina, where the cervix was attached.  Be sure to clear with your surgeon prior to any vaginal penetration.

i am 1 week post op breast augmentation and haven't been doing much but laying around. last night i started having a dry cough, today i have perioral ?

If running a fever,: see your doctor. Cough can be a normal postop reaction, howvever a temp of 101, would worrisome.

2 days post-op breast aug- is it ok to have a large bruise above my sternum(deep blue, red slightly raised splotches)? still in lots of pain. thanks

Maybe, maybe not...: It is not uncommon to have bruising after a breast augmentation, but a large bruise above the sternum (i am assuming in the midline) would be unusual. Check with your surgeon.

Depends: You really need to have a discussion with your HIV specialist. He will have to test among other things your CD4 count and viral load. This will give an idea on how much risk you are facing on a elective cosmetic procedure. I suggest that you get the surgery at a hospital level and that your HIV specialist has privileges at the same hospital as your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

breast swelling 2 weeks post op removed benign papilloma.  no fever or redness,  just bruising, pain is bearable.  should i worry?

Probably not: But if concerned call your surgeon. Bruising and bearable pain is normal. Not certain about swelling and you do not give an indication of how much.

i took accolate (zafirlukast) for 3 mos post op breast aug. i got my liver tested after being off prescription for about 3 weeks. enzyme is elevated in one test. scared?

No: I would not worry too much, its probably not related to the accolate (zafirlukast). Just follow up with your regular doctor, if it continues he may want to rule out a couple of other things.

after a breast surgery, i had a white hole rimmed in red appear under my breast at 2 weeks post op, and all my incisions are open now. how should my surgeon have addressed this? he says i have delayed healing, but labs from different doc say mrsa+.

Change physicians : If you are growing MRSA you must get antibiotics now or you may develop even more problems such as losing significant breast tissue to the infection or this infection could spread even to your bloodstream which can lead to death. In my practice, I try not to be an alarmist but you need help now and require potent antibiotics much sooner then later. An ER visit would be appropriate. Good luck

8 weeks post op hysterectomy everything but ovaries. breasts swell and hurt all the time. not just with ovulation. normal? permanent? why??!

Contact your surgeon: Even though your ovaries are still present, the amount of circulating hormone may be disproportionate with estrogen only being secreted. This happens when ovulation is not ongoing and able to produce progesterone to balance the "equation" resulting in breast swelling. Contact your GYN surgeon and find out what is going on in your case.
