Not sure: It is difficult for me, now, to think of what you're thinking about? I have heard of people not having a certain structure in their brain, called the corpus collosum, which runs in the middle of the brain and connects the two sides which are called hemispheres. Could that possibly be to what you are refering?

Cocaine doesn't have: different effects on different parts of the brain. It works in older areas in the midbrain that are our reward/pleasure centers, and causes the release of lots of dopamine, the chemical released when we are happy, or exercising.  Over time, excessive use of stimulants, particularly methamphetamine, but Cocaine as well, can damage those centers to where you don't feel pleasure without it.
