Large defect: Sometimes its necessary to place a bone graft when removing teeth to protect the nerve in the jaw but usually to preserve bone on the back side of the 2nd molar which could cause more tooth loss.

i've noticed that where the top two teeth used to be, it feels like there's in my cheeks. is this normal with stitches/healing?

: We cannot tell without looking at your mouth.You might be touching with your tongue the smooth tissue that is growing back to fill the hole left by the tooth.You should try not to touch the area with the tongue. This smoothness is normal. Take the medications prescribed by the oral surgeon.
If you experience worsening in pain, fever or other changes you need to go to your oral surgeon.

1 - can dry socket still occur? 
2 - i wasn't given a syringe but plan on buying one due to stuck food. how can i properly irrigate without causing dry socket?

: Please check with your dentist or oral surgeon for more appropriate advice.
Eight weeks is probably too long and I think it will be safe after 2 weeks if the sites are healing well and by the fourth weeks you should be completely free.

dentists office told me not to use a water syringe. is it bad to let food sit there?

: FOOD CAN CAUSE DELAYED HEALING AND AN ODOR. USE A TWEAZER TO PICK OUT THE FOOD OR GO BACK TO THE DENTIST OFFICE  AND HAVE THEM REMOVE THE FOOD.

it's been almost two months since wisdom teeth extraction and bone graft, and i started having very bad ache inside my left jaw. my dentist took an x-ray and said everything looks fine. if a dentist can't help me,which doctor should i see?

: The pain may be coming from another tooth. Sight unseen it is hard to say. If tooth/graft related your dentist can examine you and refer you to the appropriate specialist. If it is neurological in origin then see a neurologist.

No: Teeth might drift slightly in some specific situations in a forward direction over time and perhaps close a nearby space, but it would not be directly caused by an erupting wisdom tooth. They certainly won&#x27;t close generalized spaces in front teeth.
