help docs! i'm trying to find out what causes bone splinters in your gums?

See Oral surgeon: Is it in an area that a tooth was recently extracted?  If not i would recommend you see an oral surgeon to have the area evaluated.  Could be a vitamin deficiency or an osteomyelitis (a type of bone infection).

full mouth extractions march 19...few tender spots on lower gum one has bone splinter starting to work it's way out...ok to use oragel or similar?

Call your surgeon: The "splinter" may not be that at all... It might be the edge of the socket. If so, it will need to be smoothed down. If it is a bone spicule, your dentist can easily tease it out painlessly and quickly, allowing your gums to heal that much faster. Give the office a call.

how would an orthopedic surgeon fix a broken ankle, where then bone splintered and fragments of bone are floating in the muscle? (idk how to explain)

Span the splinters..: Usually we place a plate with screws or a rod across the area of splintering and secure the bone above and below. If necessary we can then repair the smaller pieces with individual screws where possible.

Yes indeed: A chicken bone lodged in the wall of the esophagus can do just that -- and eventually pierce the wall to cause even more troubles. Perhaps it's time for endoscopy. I'm glad you asked.

Dependswhere they go: If the fragments stay in place, there may be no long term problems. If they penetrate the meninges, which are the membranes that cover the brain, injury or bleeding in the brain can occur.

i have osteoporosis and by xor at say my son is cracked and my bones are starting to splinter can i do something to fix them i'm in so much pain.

Treatment: There are several treatments for osteoporosis available now that help rebuild bone. If you actually have fractures, you need to see an orthopedic surgeon to discuss what can be done for them and which of the treatments would be best for you. Hope this helps.

: If you haven't had a tetanus immunization in the past 10 years you should get one. If the bone was dirty or the puncture deep, you need one if it's been 5 years.

i have been on precocete 3.25 and valium 10 mg for almost a year , i don't have med insurance any more and no money for a doctor i broke my rt. shoulder and tore my rotatore cuff and splintered my colar bone i still have severe pain and no sleep ...

Yes, but...: Adult bones are stiff and children's bones are somewhat malleable.  Therefore, when an adult breaks a bone, it usually breaks all the way through.  In children, small fractures can happen that only "dent" the bone rather than break it all the way throughout.

Sorry am unable --: To understand the question clearly.
There is no such thing, that i know, called sitz bone. The bones we sit on are the ischiums.
Sitz baths are used for hemorrhoids or after surgery for them.
You might rephrase the question, if i haven't answered it to your satisfaction.
