With good labs, the best way to know your liver status, really and truly, is how you feel. If you'd continued to drink, or you'd relapsed, your alcoholic cirrhosis is as lethal as most untreated cancers. Treat the cause &amp; cirrhoses stabilizes &amp; even regresses. Be proud.

Unlikely.: if normal LFTs and moderate drinking, than probably very normal liver

Not too much: A routine liver function test, if that is what you are asking, is not that expensive. If you are looking for specific drug levels that may be implicated in elevated liver function, that is another story depending on the drug (s) in question.

Strattera (atomoxetine): Routine liver tests are not necessary with use of strattera (atomoxetine). Cardiac monitoring  should still be completed despite the medication not being labeled as a stimulant. On initiation and after dose changes, providers should be checking for possible mood changes.

Really normal US?: Abnormal liver functions have may causes.  If overweight, can be due to fat inside the liver, which can be seen on ultrasound.  Liver infection (hepatitis) or inflammation are other causes.  Consider additional blood work to look for signs of prior hepatitis.  Many drugs can also cause increase in liver enzymes.  Review your meds with your primary care provider.

Yes: The most likely time to develop kidney disease or more serious issues is within the first 4 years of the diagnosis. That is why you need prriodic lab studies and should be under the care of a rheumatologist.

Not a problem: GFR is glomerular filtration rate. Having it be slightly high or on the high end of normal is not a problem. If it is low then that means that your kidneys are not functioning normally and that is a problem.

Usually acturate: They usually are acturate esecially if you do not drink alcohol for 7 days prior to the liver function test.

Unclear question: What risk are you concerned about? In general normal lab results do not mean lack of disease.

Synthetic activity: In addition to the usual liver function tests, tests of synthetic functions of liver cells include blood levels of pre-albumin, coagulation factors and INR, and blood ammonia. Catalytic functions are reflected in blood levels of immunoglobulins. There are also specific tests for individual diseases, e.g. serum ceruloplasmin, alpha-1-antitrypsin, and genetic markers.
