a fall resulted in bleeding in my spleen 1month ago...last week they found my hematoma to be 2,4  .. it is 1,8.now.can i take 4 hour flight today?

Maybe but be careful: I'm not sure a flight can necessarily affect the splenic hematoma in a good or bad way. Generally I would avoid any high contact activities. Also in relation to traveling- I wouldn't do any heavy lifting that might strain your abdominal muscles. If you have to fly please take these precautions.

can a suction abortion cause an enlarged spleen or liver problems? how long would it take to know if there was a problem or internal bleeding?

Unlikely: Your procedure should not cause liver or spleen enlargement. Anesthesia might cause a reaction or allergic response but these are usually discovered right away. Continued bleeding, pain, dizziness, or severe fatigue should prompt you to get immediate attention. See your Doc to address your concerns, it’s unlikely that a suction D&amp;C caused organ damage other than uterine perforation. Take care.

am bleeding from the vagina with no uterus and rectum recently had a partial hysterectomy but still bleed they removed my uterus recently found out my spleen is enlarged am bleeding from the rectum

You : You need an immediate medical evaluation if you are post-operative and having bleeding from the rectum.  Please call your surgeon and seek out an immediate evaluation. If they can't see you then you will have to go to the er.  Rectal bleeding in a post-operative patient is concerning.

Possible but rare: An enlarged (or even normal) spleen may rupture due to direct trauma.  In very rare circumstances a diseased spleen may rupture without significant trauma.  Getting treated for the cause of the splenic enlargement should help to reduce the risk of this rare complication.

i had a spontanious spleen bleed no trauma , i had strep throat and athletes foot/jock itch at the time could either of those be the cause?

No: I see no relationship between these infections and your splenic bleeding-which is unusual in the absence of trauma.

Possibly: Other causes of heavy bleeding include fibroids or polyps, which wouldn't be related to your enlarged liver and spleen. However causes such as diminished Progesterone levels or problems with blood not clotting as fast as usual might be related to liver problems. It will need more testing to determine if there is a relation.

Yes: Painful spleens as can occur with autoimmune diseases, lymphomas, viral illnesses (mononucleosis), and trauma can cause pain.  The typical symptom is pain in the left upper abdomen that may also be referred to the left shoulder.  This is particularly significant in the setting of a ruptured spleen.  Enlarged spleens can hurt with direct examination.

Bleeding and pain: Ruptured or fractured spleen is usually from an accident, trauma, or injury. It can cause internal bleeding and left upper abdominal pain. Lab tests and likely a ct scan will make the diagnosis. Some lesser splenic injuries will heal on their own, and a major spleen injury would need surgery to remove the spleen.
