No. : Nosebleeds are most associated with nasal dryness, nasal trauma including picking, nasal deformity including septal deviation, and having thin blood from blood thinners or other medical conditions. Silver nitrate can seal prominent blood vessels on the septum but if none of the above factors change, the bleeding can recur after weeks, months, or years.

Why Treated?: Cervical Ectropion is usually a normal, asymptomatic variation of the cervix, rarely requiring treatment unless vaginal discharge or post-coital (after sex) bleeding is very bothersome. The 1st treatment is usually to stop OCPs (like Yaz) which are often the cause of this phenomenon, Otherwise electrocautery is performed to ablate the bleeding vessels. Silver nitrate is not as effective.

: You should contact your Gynecologist and let them know that you are still bleeding. You may need to go to urgent care for them to put in a stitch or two to shut down the blood vessel that is bleeding.
