Iris dots: Black dots on the iris are most likely due to iris nevi or pigment variation.  Rarely, pigmented lesions of the iris can be neoplastic in nature.  Many other issues can cause iris pigment changes including topical and systemic medications.  The dark spots should be monitored closely.  See an eye doctor.

Nevus, cyst: If the lesion is truly on the iris, inside the eye, it could be a benign cyst, or nevus, or it could be a more serious growth.  It is also possible that what you see is on the cornea, or clear surface of the eye. Whatever it may be, it's definitely worth taking a trip to your eye doctor to have him or her check it out.

No Problem: A little mole or freckle (medical term:nevus) on the iris is very common. As long as it is not growing or changing, it will not be a problem.  It is extremely rare to have any problem with such a mole.
Do mention it to your eye md next visit.

See eye doctor: Would need to know if you see this on your eye when you look in the mirror or when you look at something, you see a black dot on the image you are looking at.  If you see it in the mirror, need to make sure it is a freckle and not a malignancy.  If you see it when you look at images, you need to make sure there is not a problem with the retina, the jelly part of the eye, or the optic nerve.

Hard to say: Likely something benign like a burst capillary. However, if there's any change in vision or pain get it checked out right away.  When dealing with eyes i tend to lean towards the more cautious approach. Eyes are precious and i don't mess around with them.

Nevus: Which part of eye are you referring to?  If it's the white part (conjunctiva), they may be nevi (freckles). These are usually benign. See an ophthalmologist for a baseline exam and photos.
