Depends: Strawberry hemangiomas usually can get smaller with age.  You are 19 and as you are getting older it may be something you feel effects your self esteem.  A pediatric plastic surgeon can advise you on this.  Depending on the size and location of other structures you may or may not want to pursue it right now.  The skin to match the face is important.  Check out devos childrens, um or det children's.

Yes: Hemangiomas are often referred to as birth marks although they may show up some days or weeks after birth.There are several varieties.

what is the difference a  hemangioma and portwine stain birthmarks?

Structure: The port wine stain is a shallow collection of dilated blood vessels just under the skin  that form a wine colored patch on one side of the face, (upper/mid/lower ) these can signal abnormalities in the brain on the same side. Hemangioma is a less specific term applied to a jumble of blood vessels, sometimes appearing as a strawberry mark but could be a cystic structure deeper in the skin.

Probably not: I would just go and have someone take a biopsy and send it in to make sure but generally they don't have a malignant cancerous potential.

Depends..........: The answer depends upon the location of the birthmark. Strawberry birthmarks in the midline of the body almost all resolve by around 5 years of age. Birthmarks lateral to the midline may not completely resolve without some help (laser, intralesional steroid injection, beta-blockers).This should, of course, be discussed with your child's physician.

Hemangiomas can vary: It depends on what type of hemangioma it is. For the most common, the superficial capillary hemangioma ('strawberry hemangioma'), it can be there at birth or appear in the first few months. It initially grows faster than the baby, then at the same rate, then slower;usually it starts to shrink in late infancy. It resolves in 90% of kids by 9 years old.  There can, however, be residual skin changes.

These: lesions are almost always BENIGN!!  They are NOT associated with a risk of death. Follow your Primary Health Care Provider's lead and consult with the proper surgeon if removal is being considered.

High: Fertility does not seem to be a problem  very early losses are so common that their impact on your future reproduction is likely low that leaves your last pregnancy which raises concerns:early delivery and the hemangioma are worrisome. Genetic counseling will answer the likelihood of a repeat problem of that sort. Concerns about early delivery are real but many women will do well with close care.

Accepted Answer

Unusual: Even in this location it is not likely to cause any problems. I would not reccommend any particular treatment as it will slowly decrease in size over the subsequent years and probably disappear completely as most do.
