Depends..........: The answer depends upon the location of the birthmark. Strawberry birthmarks in the midline of the body almost all resolve by around 5 years of age. Birthmarks lateral to the midline may not completely resolve without some help (laser, intralesional steroid injection, beta-blockers).This should, of course, be discussed with your child's physician.

Some do some do not: Those that are visible at birth or cover a large area are more likely to persist at some size through life.They usually peak in size around 10-12 mo and begin to shrink and fade some after. Those that were not visible at birth or are small, often enlarge and then fade completely.They may leave a parchment like skin where they once were located.
