: It means that what was supposed to be an endometrial biopsy did not yield any  endometrial ( body of the Uterus) material. Only tissue from the cervix (mouth of the uterus). So if endometrial biopsy was needed it did not succeed in doing so.

Normal, no cancer,: but likely not ovulating, particularly if irregular or absent periods. Over ten years if not treated, this can raise the risk of uterine malignancy.

i have a recent diagnosis and dont fully understand what it means. my doctor recommends another uterine biopsy followed by hysterectomy. dx of benign proliferative endometrium with focal glandular crowding. i have a polyp and fibroids in my uterus.

Does not add up: If the doctor recommends removal of uterus, there is no logic to doing another biopsy. You may wish to consult a different gynecologist.  If you are done with childbearing, removal of the uterus should be a consideration.

Endometrial biopsy: Your result indicate that at the time of your biopsy you were in the secretory or second phase of your cycle just before menstruation.  Good things to know: no evidence of hyperplasia (pretumor growth) or malignancy.  Sounds like a normal biopsy.

The: Cells in endometrium are multiplying  part of the cell layers have separated. Do not see any mention of suspicious cells, but talk to your OB for more details.

after aub for three weeks had sono. showed 1.3 cm endometrium three days after cycle ended. what does this mean? had biopsy done.

Accepted Answer

Anovulation: The endometrial stripe should measure up to 8 or 10 mm in the normal cycle and would be thin right after a period.  Your bleeding was likely due to the overgrown endometrium noted on the sonogram. The sono should have also shown the condition of your ovaries which could explain the thickened endometrium.  Talk to your doctor about your bleeding and the sono findings as well as the biopsy results.

i am postmenopausal my endometrium measures 6 mm i am braca 2 positive. what concerns should i have ? results from biopsy not back yet.

Await biopsy: Before worrying I would wait for the biopsy results.  Then a more complete picture of what is going on will be available for your medical provider to use to discuss diagnosis and options.  Right now a definitive answer is not available.  Most pathology results are available within a week.

hallo, after my biopsy test, i got a report as "endometrium in secretory phaase" may i know the meaning of it please.is there any defect for conceiving?

Very good: Secretory phase endometrium is normal and is found in the second half of the cycle and shows that you ovulated. This is good news since you are interested in pregnancy.
