YES...: In about 1% of gallbladder patients, common duct stones may be present but unknown, and some stones form secondarily, and can cause the typical biliary tract symptoms (ruq pain, food intolerance, nausea, etc.)  a simple blood test will let you know if the liver enzymes and bilirubin are abnormal, which would then indicate further workup is necessary. Yes you should: it depend on the circumstances around the inflammation and what symptoms you have.i will be concerned and I will check with my GI for proper evaluation.

Standard: I can't recommend since I am not familiar, but be careful. Bile duct disease should be taken seriously and care for promptly. Make sure you see a traditional doctor before trying unproven methods.

The stone passed: If you are otherwise recovering well from gallbladder removal surgery, you can rest assured the inflammation was part of the disease process and nothing more. If you have jaundice, yellow eyes and skin, losing weight, feeling poorly then get in to your doc, consider ERCP and biopsy. Be well.

Limited: Make sure that your oncology team has lots of experience with treating pancreatic adenocarcinoma, and that they have access to clinical trials.  Across the board, the life expectancy for terminal pancreatic cancer is limited, in the months range.  But for appropriate candidates, there are clinical trials that might be worth considering. No screening: Bile duct cancer very rare.  Appears with jaundice and with work up is either intrahepatic Klatskin tumor which  can be resected or in Porta, a common duct lesion.  Most cholangiolar  Ca are virulent and metastasize to all sites in body.  Chemo similar to that of pancreatic Ca but overall response poor.   No preventative work up  of value.

Surgery: Typically bile duct cysts (choledochal cysts) need an operation by a skilled surgeon to repair.

Gallbladder: An ultrasound can be suggestive of inflammation of the bile duct, sludge or stones in the gallbladder, or other anatomic abnormalities.  All studies should be done based on symptoms and blood tests - this gives you the whole picture of what is going on.  A CT scan may be helpful as well.

does treatment of bile duct obstruction always require a stent 2 b placed in bile duct?do those stents always require to be replaced after every few months for whole life?or can they b permanently removed after having them placed after some years?

: It depends on the cause of obstruction. Obstruction by a stone may not require a stent. Obstruction due to as stricture/scarring may require a stent and replacement may or may not be needed. You doctor would evaluate these issues in the context of your health.

what kind of monoclonal antibody is used for treatment bile duct cancer?

Nothing good yet: There is as of yet, no proven monoclonal antibody(moab) for this type of cancer. For some of the GI cancers, anti-egfr antibody like cetuximab(erbitux) has been modestly useful. You can ask your oncologist whether he/she will consider adding this moab to your chemotherapy regimen in case you are still on chemo or being offered chemotherapy with Cisplatin and gemcitabine.
