As : As a general rule of thumb, it is better to take vitamins with a meal. This allows for better absorption. However this is not an absolute. In addition, remember to check with your doctor before taking any vitamins, minerals, or supplements in order to ensure that it won't interfere with any possible medications you are taking.

It does not.: Unless you are deficient in b12, it will not provide and "boost" of energy.  You can take it at night!

Yes: There should be no interaction between zyrtec (cetirizine) and those vitamins when taken at the same time.

hello, i currently suffer from anemia from a lack of vitamin b12 and take supplements for it. i am ashamed to admit i experimented with alcohol enemas multiple times. should/how do i ask my family doctor to test for this? maybe colon cancer etc?

: Test for what? Cancer? Unlikely! Alcohol via enema is just another method of alcohol exposure/intake. While potentially irritating to the tissue it self heals easily. Is your anemia truly B12 related? That is a known defect of absorption. There are many possible contributing factors. Talking with your doc about all your concerns is a worthy and reasonable practice. We want to know so we can help.

Daily requirement 3.: Daily requirement of vit B12 for us population is 3.4 mcg at your age and you are probabely getting that in your diet at your age.It is required for red cell formation and neurological functions and its deficiency can cause anemia and neurological problems.It is found in poultry, eggs, milk&milk and fortified breakfast serials.Older people&those on acid suppression meds need supplement 1000 mcg dail.

Need more D3,?B12 IM: It will take several weeks to raise d levels much but 1000 iu is not nearly enough- people need 5-8000 iu/day to achieve optimal levels of 50-80. I advise taking 10, 000 iu/day for 3 months ; then recheck levels- see http://bit.Ly/1gnxnk0
it's possible you can't absorb B12 in which case no oral dose would help. I would give 1000 mcg im 2-3x/week for a month then see if oral forms can maintain it.

Depends: on your individual situation. You should get levels rechecked on a regular basis to determine this.
