Possible UTI: WBC in the urine possibly suggest urinary tract infection..urine culture is needed. The rest of the abnormalities are nonspecific and require thorough exam and to follow the trend and see how they going particually the ALT. Slightly raised co2 is not usually a problem.

Not Serious: Although elevated, this is not bad.Could be from a viral infection or medicine reaction.Check with your doctor.

i recently received elevated liver enzymes (alt 149, ast 63),  so my doctor ordered an ultrasound. that only thing that came back was a benign hemangioma. could this be causing my elevated enzyme levels or is it likely something else?

: It is likely something else. Some medications can cause an elevation in liver enzymes so check with your doctor to see if that is possible. Avoid acetaminophen and alcohol while you are investigating why your enzymes are elevated. Are you having other symptoms? A visit with a liver specialist may be helpful if the etiology is not apparent to your primary care doctor. Good luck to you!

ALT?: Usually know.  However very high triglycerides can lead to pancreatitis which can have abnormal liver function tests.  Additionally, patients with fatty liver can have abnormal lft and some with high tgs.

Inflammation: Alt is an enzyme produced by the liver. When it is elevated it signifies liver inflammation which can come from multiple causes, the aasld-american association of the study of liver disease considers a normal alt to 19 or less in a woman and 30 or less in a male. Alt numbers higher than this again means there is liver inflammation.

Not really: Alt is a reflection of liver enzyme activity. Per se, it does not mean you have an inherited disease. Elevation can be related to things like taking tylenol, (acetaminophen) or drinking too much, having a tumor, etc. There are hundreds of things that can cause alt elevation -- but it is usually not a genetic problem.

Many causes: Obesity, viral infection, and alcohol are the 3 leading causes. There are many others. A complete evaluation would likely reveal the cause but as an isolated blood test, it says little except that there is inflammation in your liver.

Not okay: It's a warning. It may be nothing more than your liver asking for you to go get more exercise. You may be sensitive to ibuprofen and took some.  It may be a warning of smoldering hepatitis, autoimmune disease, Wilson's, hemochromatosis, or medication allergy that's waiting to kill you if untreated. Your physician knows the workup.
