Knowledge developmen: On the cutting edge of research, there will be uncertainty.  Studies are done in different ways, and sometimes results appear to conflict.

There are some results that are accepted widely (aspirin prevents heart attacks for people with heart disease) and others that we need to know more about (especially for less common illnesses).

: There is no scientific proof that omega 3 or any other dietary supplements, or any drugs, improve memory (despite online claims, ads for various products, etc). As a medical student, you should be able to identify a faculty member who is expert in this area -- perhaps a pharmacologist or neurologist -- for further discussion. Omega 3 has a lot: of research to support its benefits for brain, eyes, skin, mood, cholesterol lowering, etc.  Eggs w/omega 3 are good.  A high quality marine fish oil would give a better dose.  May help the itching you mention.  Peace and good health.

Lots of supplements: You must have a lot of money to spend
exercise and good diet are key
no alcohol or drugs is important
there is no proof that gluten or dairy will be an issue for your lupus nor is the gmo food particularly bad - it is made so they use less pesticides which are bad!

Good idea: Fish is a great food to include in your diet and because of all the nutrients you get in fish, superior to omega-3 supplements. Two to three 4 ounce servings of low mercury fish per week is recommended: shrimp, pollock, salmon, canned light tuna, tilapia and cod.
