If you are trying to lose weight avoid starches and sugars and eat nutrient dense foods like low starch vegetables and lean meats.

meds can really help.

Neither: Both of these medications have concerning side effects. Newer medications such as Belviq, (lorcaserin) Contrave, Qysrmia seem to be effective without some these side effects.  All of these medications should be used conjunction with appropriate dietary changes and exercise.  You should speak wih your doctor about the most appropriate medication for you.  Good Luck
