Medication : Medication may be involuntarily administered to a patient in an emergency when it is deemed necessary to protect the safety of that person or other people.  The psychiatrist would need to determine that the medication is required to prevent physical injury and that less intrusive alternatives would not be adequate. No: Pro air does not treat the underlying inflammation of asthma. It is meant as a rescue medicine for relief of acute symptoms . If someone uses pro air more than twice a week, they need to be on preventive inhalers containing inhaled corticosteroids with or without a long acting bronchodilator.

i was prescribed 1mg lorazepam for my anxiety & insomnia issue on need basis. in last 1 week, i have tried this medication 2 times & each time it has failed to work completely. how is that even possible? isn't it supposed to work for insomnia?

: Given your age, habit forming effects and the potential of destroying sleep architecture benzodiazepines would be a poor choice  in the long term management of insomnia. Life style changes specifically increasing outdoor physical activities along with sleep hygiene are best in the long range.

like many, i take blood pressure medications. at home, i test with 130/78. this is very high. should i monitor pressure at home on a daily basis?

Your BP is okay.: No need to panic. For most people, blood pressure should be less than or equal to 130/80. Yours is pretty much where it should be, unless you and your doctor are aiming lower. I suggest checking your BP daily in order to see what it's averaging, and bring your BP log to your doctor's appointments.

im 35 & postmenopausal. my breasts have been growing then shrinking on a weekly basis since september 2017. no new medications. whats going on?!

Breast evaluation: Breast size changes are typically related to weight fluctuations or hormonal changes. If you are postmenopausal then hormonal changes should not be an issue. You will need to see a breast specialist for an evaluation to determine what is going on

i currently take 2 claritins a day to deal with my symptoms from my nonallergic rhinitis and a minor dust/dustmite allergy. is there something else i can take instead that would be less medication on a daily basis?

Maybe: That dose is actually double the recommended dose as Claritin lasts 24 hours. If you feel you need a high dose to control symtpoms, consider an alternative. Zyrtec/Cetirizine once a day may be more effective. Alternatively, an anti-histamine or steroid  nasal spray once a day may be more effective. Treatment is empiric: you have to try different options to see what works best for you.

i was prescribed buspirone as a as needed basis. i questioned this and told it was fast acting and would help anxiety symptoms in the moment but for on going therapeutic effectiveness it would be prescribed as a routine medication. is this true?

: Buspirone is approved for anxiety treatment starting at 7.5mg twice a day and increasing the dose up to a max dose of 60mg total. It achieves peak concentration in blood in 40 to 90 minutes. It is also often prescribed as needed for anxiety and it is safer than benzodiazepines.

Yes: Chronic edema of the lower extremities will change their shape.  Take , for example people that get older and develop heart failure the chronic edema will cause  stasis dermatitis. The lower extremities adopt by having large amounts of connective tissue veins dilate lymph system dilates.

Kidney,liver: Basically you must follow the directions regarding dosing. With acetomenophen avoid alcohol while taking it to avoid liver damage. With NSAID's like ibuprofen or naproxen, use sparingly if you have high blood pressure to avoid kidney damage. Don't take supplements which are not investigated as they may contain toxins.
