Yes: Subaxone2/0.5 mg can be used after maintenance and counselling to taper off subaxone for opiod dependence.

Wisdom tooth: A dry socket occurs when the blood clot is lost after tooth extraction leaving the bone and nerve exposed.  This can be due to infection,nicotine,sucking through a straw or certain hormones such as oral contraceptives.  The treatment is packing with medication.  The packing is usually changed as often as daily.  As the tooth heals the packing will fall out.

: HIV is rarely if ever transmitted by hand-genital contact, even when infected genital fluids are used for lubrication. No testing is needed and for sure nobody should take PEP in this situation.

Depends: See http://wwwnc.Cdc.Gov/travel/destinations/list.Htm, for recommendations on drugs and immunizations for each of the countries you plan to visit. For a general first-aid kit, i recommend pepto bismol, (bismuth subsalicylate) ibuprofen, an antihistamine, antibiotic ointment, antiseptic wipes, and a miscellaneous assortment of bandaids and sterile dressings.

The : The active ingredient in most whitening systems is the same.  Typically, the concentration and means of applying it differ.

i may have accidentally swallowed sheer white whitening strips during my sleep. the label says, "don't swallow the film" but nothing more. what is going to happen, and what should i do?

Accepted Answer

Probably nothing: The main component of whitening strips is hydrogen peroxide, and in high concentrations and in large amounts, it is poisonous to ingest.  But you would have to drink a lot more than the tiny amount in the strips!  Swallowing just 1 or 2 should not cause any problems except maybe a little indigestion.  If you get severe upset stomach, though, get seen.  And take a little Maalox or Tums (calcium carbonate) today.

husband has precription for lortab but took a suboxen strip one week ago.drug test at work pos. for opiates and sent to lab.will the suboxen show up?

Accepted Answer

No: The Suboxone will not show up as an opiate on a drug test.  Suboxone will cause a positive test result for Buprenorphine (the active ingredient in  suboxone) but that is only if the lab specifically tests for it. After a week, one film strip should not cause a positive result.

nexplanon implant was inserted yesterday (06/26) and when taking off the bandage today, i noticed a squishy bubble near the steri strips. almost looks like a blister? what is that? no side effects besides the normal bruising and soreness?

: It could be a reaction to the implant, allergy to the band aid. Pl see the implanter for proper evaluation

: By calling your current prescriber. Continuity of care is critical as adjustments in meds are usually necessary and proper follow up is needed. You have at least a medical condition that needs follow up, simplifying it to a refill will result in suboptimal care.

Accepted Answer

YEs it can: As the number of medications you take increases so do the chances that they may interact or have additive side effects. It is best to discuss all medications(even eye drops) with your primary physician or pharmacist. Just because they work on different parts of the body does not mean they cannot cause problems with other drugs.
