Muscular?: If x-rays, ct and MRI are negative you must think muscular
i don't know but with negative studies i'd concentrate. On pt with exercises for strength and flexibility.

The advice is to see: Someone who specializes in spine for a thorough evaluation and then testing based on that evaluation.  You gave had pain since at least age 14.  See an orthopaedic spine surgeon for a complete workup which may include: blood tests in addition to furthers imaging like a MRI and bone scan.

i have had excruciating lower back pain for around 7 years. i had an mri which showed mild scoliosis and moderate facet joint hypertrophy. i was dismissed nothing wrong. i have just had a second mri. says reduction of lumbar lordosis. any advice?

: A conservative idea is, do you have a limb length difference or pelvic rotation or both. This can cause the worsening of scoliosis or help cause it.

Back pain: First question is why did u have the tap and are those symptoms resolved. It's uncommon to have isolated low back pain for 7 years after a spinal tap so other causes must be looked for. You should probably see a pain specialist or physiatrist that specializes in spine as i doubt that there is a surgical issue if this pain truly resulted from the tap. What other work up have u had.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor.
Regular aerobic exercise may help, raising core body temperature through exercise will improve muscles. It may take 3-4 months of regular exercise to see full effect.

Back Pain: You have back pain.  Not nearly enough information to begin to answer what it the cause.  If you could expand on your symptoms including where it is, what makes it better, worse? Does it go into your legs?

Conservative care: Generally you will start with conservative treatment such as physical therapy (including strengthening and stretching) and anti-inflammatory medications.  Subsequently, spinal injections and possibly surgery are also options.  If you've had pain for 2 years and have had some treatment, an MRI should be considered.  See a physician if your symptoms continue to persist, or if they worsen.

Common issue: Back pain is common around the world.  For acute pain we recommend 48 hours of rest plus over the counter nsaids as long as you have no conditions that preclude safe use.  Physical therapy is then given for 6-8 weeks.  If you are still having issues after this time, see your md for an MRI and referral to a spine specialist.

Core strength: Core strengthening exercises, psoas muscle stretches and swimming. If you have pain radiating to the legs, see your doctor.

Back pain: Back pain is not that uncommon. Especially if you spend a lot of time carrying children. Take some Ibuprofen and a yoga class twice a week. At your age a good stretch can go a long way. If it does not resolve in 3-4 weeks, see your doctor.
